Clemens' Hummer stolen from son's high school

Roger Clemens' orange Hummer - a present from the New York Yankees for his 300th win - was stolen Wednesday after the pitcher's son

drove it to school and left it unlocked, police said. School district police issued a statewide all-points bulletin about the Hummer, taken from Memorial High at about 8:30 a.m.

Clemens, who was at spring training with the Houston Astros in Florida, was offering a $10,000 reward for the vehicle's return and information about who took it.

Roger Clemens couldn't immediately be reached for comment by The Associated Press. He earned his 300th victory in 2003 with the Yankees, then joined the hometown Astros. He began letting Koby Clemens drive the orange Hummer to school after he signed a letter of intent last November to play baseball for the University of Texas, whose colors are burnt orange and white. Before that, Koby drove a black Hummer to school.

Hummers can range from $50,000 to more than $100,000.

It is better to have had a Hummer and lose it than never to have had a Hummer before.

LOL...That was my thought (or one close to it). In Twain's case, that would have been a "stolen zinger."

It's probably in Mexico by now, sitting in some official's garage.

Roger's brother Randy was my PE teacher in high school.

Looks like someone needs a splitter to the temple. Roger needs to bring the 'high heat' and knock some sense into Jr.

Should be pretty easy to spot an orange Hummer.

I really feel bad about this.

That's a crime!
Unfortunately for Mr.Clemons, a lot of available police attention is tied up right now making certain that Terri Schiavo is executed for not dropping dead when her husband wanted her to.

The thief had better look out. The Texas Legislature is in rare session, and this could be a capital crime shortly.

I'm not sure but I thought I read somewhere that Clemens had his hummer painted from black to orange.

Its probably the same one, the one the yanks gave him certainly wasn't orange.

Probably a good one, just because his dad lets him drive his car (which is his hummer) doesn't mean the kid is going to grow up spoiled.

If I had the money, and could afford, I'd let my son pretty much drive whatever he wanted, provided he was a good kid and responsible and did the right things.

Hell, I used to take car service to school and back again.
