At last! Spring arrived this weekend! Springtime is associated with rebirth and a new beginning. Nature awakens in spring, when flowers bloom and hibernating animals leave their winter sleeping places. In most of America, fields of yellow and purple and blue and pink and white are popping up everywhere, and trees are bursting into sweet-smelling blooms of color. It's a beautiful sight to behold ~ God's green earth!

Ah, Spring.....birds are singing, days are getting longer, spring fever's setting in, and love is in the air.....

It has, hasn't it? I'm always sooooooooooo glad to see sunshine and leaves on trees and green grass and flowers. And bluebonnets!!!!

My forsythia bush is starting to show buds, and most of my back and side fields are covered in purple clover.

The farm trucks and equipment are finally on the move and hubby promised to start tilling my garden on friday so I can at least get some beans and peas in. YEAH!!!!!!

Our Mysterious God

God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past . . . , has in these last days spoken to us by His Son. -Hebrews 1:1-2

In today's Scripture, we read that a mysterious and awesome visitor appeared to Manoah and his wife (Samson's parents). When Manoah asked, "What is Your name?" the visitor didn't answer the question directly but instead "ascended in the flame of the altar" (Judges 13:17-20). Then Manoah knew he had seen God in human form.

Who can understand such a God-the God who wrote the 3-billion-letter software code in the DNA molecule of every human cell? Who can fully comprehend the God who knows everything, even our inner thoughts? Yet many Old Testament saints knew and loved this God. They experienced the joy of His grace and forgiveness, even though they didn't completely understand how a holy God could forgive their sins.

As Christians, we too stand in awe before the majesty and mystery of an incomprehensible God. But we have a great advantage because we see Him revealed in Jesus, who said, "He who has seen Me has seen the Father" (John 14:9). And when Jesus hung on the cross, He revealed God's compassion and love, for He died there for us.

A mystery? Yes. But how wonderful that we can know the love of this incomprehensible God! -Herb Vander Lugt

We've had high 70's a few times the last week or so - makes working in the yard almost fun - but I hate yardword! Changing the flowers from pansies to geraniums in the flower pots is about all I want to do. LOL

Those bluebonnets were taken near my sister's - in the fields behind their subdivision in the Hill Country. They're everywhere, they're everywhere! :)

Forsythia is such a bright, sunny color! I guess I'm partial to the Spring and the Fall seasons, because of the new growth in the Spring, and the leaves changing colors in the Fall.

I love spring as well.

In my travels later today I have to pick up more potting soil and hubby promised to retrieve from the barn all my planting stuff while I'm at a meeting tonight..........I am going to get into major seed starting mode tomorrow!

I think I'm finally breaking out of the malaise that has dogged me for weeks..........I have had absolutely no interest in practically anything for ages.
