At a bookstore recently I picked up and speed-read (didn't buy) parts of a book called "Collapse." It's by a California professor of geography describing the circumstances in which civilizations collapse. The last chapter is about what is happening to his own Los Angeles.

Does this prof ever mention PC as a contributing factor?
I should read it for myself, I guess.

Collapse Just thought you might like to know that your reference to this book, with which I was previously unfamiliar, caused me to go over to Amazon and drop about 160 bucks. Thanks.

That's Collapse by Jared Diamond. I've just begun reading his book, Guns, Germs And Steel.
