A convicted killer with a desire to eat his victims today admitted killing two men - cooking the brains of one of them.
Peter Bryan, 35, was labelled The Cannibal after police found him cooking human brains.
Bryan pleaded guilty at the Old Bailey to the manslaughters on the grounds of diminished responsibility of Brian Cherry, 43, and Richard Loudwell, 59.
The prosecution accepted not guilty pleas to murder charges because of the weight of psychiatric evidence.
Bryan was sent to a secure hospital in 1994 after admitting the unlawful killing of 20-year-old shop assistant Nisha Sheth who was beaten to death with a hammer in 1993.
He was released in 2001.
But last February, he walked out of a local mental health unit in east London and killed his friend Brian Cherry after visiting him at his home in Manning House, Walthamstow.
Police were called after neighbours heard screams. Horrified officers found Mr Cherry's dismembered body and brains in a frying pan.
Officers said he was preparing to eat the body parts.
He killed Mr Loudwell at Broadmoor special hospital where he was sent on remand for Mr Cherry's killing.
Mr Loudwell, formerly of Gillingham, Kent, was detained at Broadmoor after admitting the manslaughter of 89-year-old Joan Smyth at her home in Rainham, Kent, in December 2002.
He was taken to hospital with head injuries after being attacked by Bryan in April, last year, and died in June.

A true friend indeed.

Got Gray Matter?
Geeeeeez!
What a waste of good brainpower!
And here we have Kofi Anan who could use a brain transplant!
Obligatory "fava beans and fine Chianti" bump.
Ping...sorry...not before breakfast.
barf alert

Um, no. He is going to a padded cell, post haste.
I would rather we executed him, but never mind. I'm a 19th century person living in a more touchy feely era.

Not just anyone can cook this.....it takes some skull.
"Just damn", ping.
I have a very simple belief: anyone who murders someone deliberately, unless a very young child, should get death. I don't care what the excuse is. Such a person is a threat to innocent life. If the person is psychotic, that is even more of a reason to put him to death, not less of one. A month or two to contemplate his eternal future after death, and then he meets it.
I don't disagree - this person is never going to see the light of day again, or at least shouldn't. What is more cruel - keeping him locked up in a padded cell, or putting him out of the world's and his own misery?
Regards, Ivan
Just damn.
If you want on the list, FReepmail me. This IS a high-volume PING list...
There's always the chance of escape, or the chance that the leftists will give him a 'handcuff-free' moment. Death. Rehab? Why bother? It's just another chance for the lefties to toy with 'limited freedom' choices. He should never be trusted on the streets again. It's that simple.
I agree, but I'm not british (no offense intended :)...I'm just an 'American "Rawhide" Cowboy'
Legions more demonic forces are now loosed upon the world as never before . . . gearing up for the final battle . . .
I expect to see news items . . . when they leak out . . . of gangs and groups of people perpetrating cannibalism upon their enemies as well as innocents in our era in the USA. I hope it takes a longer time than I expect to get to that state of affairs.
God is our only refuge and hope.
Your commentary is always so cerebral.
