Muslim leaders in Berlin are at pains to stress that there is no basis for honour killings in the Koran. But they have also been criticised for not making a clear condemnation of them.

Yeah right, Mullahs and Imams have been imprisoned for writing books on how to beat/punish/kill your wife under Sharia law.

They always seem to defend it by picking on a woman. They don't seem so keen to go out and defend their honor against another man. Guess they don't understand the part about defending HER honor. (She offered her honor, he honored her offer, and all through the night he was honor and offer.)

In other words, "Oh, that human rights thing. Yeah, we mention it every now and then kinda, you know, don't kill, blah blah blah..."

I try very hard to be objective and tolerant, and to not pass judgment on others' religious beliefs. But dang, every single story I have read, with the exception of the Muslim group who wrote the letter of apology, involves some sort of violence. My tolerance for this religion is eroding quickly, especially because their leaders never speak out against this crap. That can only mean that it is acceptable.

How about "It doesn't matter what the Koran says. The laws of Germany say that you cannot kill anyone."

Last I heard, Sharia was not the law of the land.
