The IRA ceased to be that after the 1916 rebellion.
The present IRA makes the older generation turn in their graves. It was said, by some, that the old IRA fought by a semblance of rules. The Modern form hasn't a clue what that word means.

Sinn Fein was always the communist heart to the IRA's muscle/I have it on good authority from some Irish that admit such things. It's amazing I admit that I know some Irish that have any authority to admit to such admittance admittedly. Per se.
