Proponents said the need was immediate that activist judges across the country would be taking the meaning of marriage into their own hands and allowing same-sex couples to wed. Opponents were just as adamant a constitutional amendment would enshrine discrimination and divide the state.
The issue returned to Minnesota on Tuesday as Sen. As an individual who is extremely against same-sex marriage....LEAVE THE CONSTITUTION ALONE! It is not the place for this.
just so you know, this refers to the MN state constitution
Constitutional amendments are the ONLY way to stop judges. Minisotta should also forbid civil unions because judges have in mind to impose all but the "m" word if a marriage amendment passes.
State Amendments shut down the state judges, a federal amendment MUST be passed to shut down the federal judges. This is a federal issue, like it or not. PERIOD.
