What's even sadder is most of those movies are based on a true story.
One example of questionable personnel being included in State Department trips was the addition of Kathleen Willey on Clinton-era State Department missions to Copenhagen and Jakarta. Newsweek reporter Michael Isikoff writes, "State Department records showed that the White House personnel office had arranged for her to go on both trips even though she didn't have the slightest qualifications for either one. (The Jakarta trip was for a conference on biodiversity, and the Denmark trip was on social development. The total cost to the taxpayers for Willey's airfare and expenses was about $7,000.)" [6] Both trips occurred after the date Willey alleges Clinton molested her in the Oval Office. One insider told Isikoff that the trips were quite plainly White House efforts to keep Willey quiet. [7]

Lie Detectors are snake oil - I believe Paula, but the fake machine has nothing to do with it.
My dad was a polygraph operator. When he thought I was up to something he'd bring the thing home and put me on it. I was never able to beat it.
"Meet the Parents" was a little too close to home.
Stalinist? Where are the gulags located? Have the nighttime seizures of citizens started yet? Or the Show Trials?
Huh. If they kick off every season with a Clinton victim they could have a right long run.
We tried similar tactics in Massachusetts in the 1690's and decided that we didn't always like the results, hence the fifth amendment. Sure it leads to a lot of legal mumbo-jumbo, but the genius of the constitution is that it limits the power of government.
....because I could....
First things first. Once have succeeded in abolishing competitive elections, the good stuff [gulags, show trials, thought crime, arbitrary arrests] follow naturally. Ballot box stuffing and McCain-Feingold are the camel's nose.
<< They invited Bill Clinton to take a lie detector test.
And he just might have passed. Sociopaths can beat lie detectors, so I've heard. >>
But Cli'ton's not a sociopath.
He knows full well what he's doing.
It's just that he knows he's entitled [He' also a full-blown Narcissist] -- and that he just doesn't give a s**t.
And that defines a psychopath.
[As also is his every-bit-as-recidivistic, lying, looting, thieving, mass-murdering, co-serial-rapsist gangster-bastard "spouse," Bruno]
In response to you accurate citation of the 5th Amendment, I wonder if perhaps the US Supreme Court would like to interpret this "living" document in light of developments such as sodium pentathol and lie detector tests? I mean, hey, the Constitution means whatever we want it to mean now, doesn't it? I am sure that the word "compel" is pliable enough to be interpreted any number of ways. If the deprivation of life clause can be interpreted to rule out execution of those who killed while they were minors, surely we can overcome this little snippet. Oh, wait, I guess we need to get world opinion first, before we interpret our constitution.....
Sorry /rant
I NEVER watch PAX but for SOME reason I was flipping the TV last night and came across this show and saw that Paula was going into the chair for the Q&A. This was sweet to watch. Rolanda Watts about had an orgasm when describing how hot and handsome Clinton is as a man. Then really had nothing to offer in the way of her personal thoughts when she passed.
Total sheep.
He already did...in front of a Federal Judge.
He was impeached by a courageous House, but the spineless, cowardly, useless Senate failed to convict.
No sense in double jeopardy for old X42.
Watts did one better...she invited Clinton himself to sit in the chair and take the test.
The Constitution does not limit the power of government. It only works in a society where the people freely agree to live by its principles. Oregon elected years ago not to adhere to the bill of rights. The state has a very 'closed society.' People living here are afraid to speak out. But they grumble privately under their breath about 'the thought police.' Example: Enron's corrupt local untility company is over charging people with bills that do not make sense. They only make sense when you realize the company is trying to increase its 'book value' because it is a take over target. Nobody, and I mean nobody, here wants to comment on anything especially wide spread corruption. But people don't listed to me anyway. I'm just an old geezer living in the Peoples Paradise of Oregon. 'Nuff said.
What, they want to stress-test their machine?
