So far, of the 5.5 million people registered with the National Marrow Donor Program, none are matches.

The blood bank held an emergency blood and marrow drive Thursday on behalf of Christopher LeBleu.
In all, more than 100 volunteered to be tested and donated blood, marrow or both for LeBleu, who still needs blood transfusions.
The usual $65 fee for donating bone marrow was waived for the first 100 people. Not everyone who participated was able to give marrow, so the center is accepting additional donors today.
Jean Cannon, a spokeswoman for the Blood Bank in Ontario, said tissue types would be sent to the National Marrow Donor Program Registry.

"He really needs a miracle," said Tammy Rotellini, a spokeswoman for the Blood Bank. "If you don't find a match outside of your family, you need a miracle. That's why we're asking the community to respond."
