The Dark Tower of Judicial Tyranny

They've done it again. It used to be a shadowy penumbra, an ethereal emanation or simply the notion of a living, breathing document that enabled the Supreme Court of the United States to conform our Constitution to their schemes of social engineering. Now it is also to foreign jurisprudence that we must look.

Though they claim that other countries should not dictate their findings, they said, "the overwhelming weight of international opinion against the juvenile death penalty ... does provide respected and significant confirmation for [its] own conclusions."

In once again usurping the rights of the states to determine their own law, the SCOTUS has decided that seventeen year-olds can't take moral responsibility for murder but, in earlier decisions, that they are mature enough to decide, without parental notification, to get an abortion. It was abhorrent enough when they acted alone as judges and legislators, but now they've raised the bar.

How long until "Honor Murders" are used here?
and ALLOWED because of the Supremes' supreme love of Pakistan and the EU?

Why is Europe the model for justice among the liberals on the Supreme Court? Why not Iran? Why not North Korea?

One suspects that it's because liberals identify with European "values," that the entire exercise is based upon nothing more than prejudice.

I have a question....What happens to all the 'juveniles' that have been found guilty in the 19 states that passed laws to convict juveniles of a crime?

I agree completely. Now why doesn't our GOP Congress and President do something about it. The Constitution in black and white plain English (no penumbras) says that our elected representatives can limit the jurisdiction of the Supreme Court from any matter.

Ever since this ruling came down, I have been wondering if Mr. Kennedy would feel the same way if his wife/daughter were brutally murdered by an "underage" punk?
