Well, none of us knows for sure if this was murder or suicide, but a few questions by law enforcement do seem appropriate. Initially, suicide seemed so believable; it seemed exactly like what we'd expect from this man. And maybe I'm just an odd duck, but had my father killed himself with a pistol the first thing I'd have done would not have been go outside and pop off three blasts from my shotgun. It just seems way too convenient to explain powder residue on Juan's hands.

Sounds like they intentionally destroyed evidence as well. I knew that when the police arrived they found the family sitting around the body having a cocktail. I didn't realise they had garbed the corpse up into some macabre mannequin.

I just wonder what HST's BAC was at the time of his death. And I wonder what the word "Counselor" meant... I suppose it meant call his lawyer. I wonder if there had been disagreements in the family, whether there was any hanky-panky between the son and the trophy wife, and what he and the wife had been discussing, since she said "he knew I was opposed to it."

well then I must be an odd duck also :-) As I see this as highly suspicious too. Would not the powder residue from a shotgun be different form that of a handgun?

Any experts here like to comment?
