The simple fact is that America will never elect a liberal woman as president. Americans may genuinely give serious weight to a conservative woman, but in the end analysis, voters will simply not be able to pull the trigger for a liberal woman.

I am not discounting the possibility that Hillary could get her party's nomination, and that might actually be a good thing, because all the left wing-nuts will come out of the woodwork and reveal the real agenda being longed for.

People may have abbreviated memories, but not THAT abbreviated. Moreover, to get her party's nomination she will have to bring along the 'ol ball and chain - not Bill - the left wing-nuts that control the party. Besides, Hillary has a record, both in the White House, i.e., HillaryCare, and in the Senate. She cannot run from that.

Hillary is unelectable in a national general election.

I hope he doesn't...step down that is.

Jack Wheeler is not MSM however. He was the author of the Reagan Doctrine.

She is far more dangerous than Bill ever was. He was a joke, his wife is a Marxist.

I agree. With Bill's political skills to coach her, she is a real threat to win. The stupidest thing Hillary has done was when she held up the "Bush Knew" headline on the Senate floor. Since then, she has become a war hawk, is not proposing any massive entitlement programs, has softened her rhetoric, is staying out of the mudslinging, and is 'moderating' her stated views on abortion and gay marriage. Hillary is pretneding to be someone who could actually win.

Oh please.

She'd be lucky to win 5 states.

unfortunately, the campaign finance scandal which will put some of her aids in prison soon, is too boring for people to really give a crap about. If the "lady" can shred Vince Foster's files for three days after his "suicide", what's a little election finance fraud anyway?

The possibility of Condi as VP next year

SoS Rice will not be sworn in as VP before Jan 21, 2007.

Believe me Cheney won't step down. Condi will not be VP - she is needed more right where she is. She's doing an excellent job and we need her there!

Isn't that the case for any presidential candidate?

That they believe they are entitled, as a couple, to rule the world?

I like Condi Rice, but she is a lady. Hillary isn't. Hillary would have Condi for an appetizer.

Leftists have been wet-dreaming about Cheney stepping down for years. It ain't gonna happen. Besides, Condi is not going be at the top of the ticket in 2008. She has almost zero campaign experience. She has little executive experience. She will have an impossible time getting the nomination as a Pro-choice republican. Condi would make a great VP choice, but I think Allen is gonna head the ticket.

Actually, Hillary is poor on her feet. Condi is much sharper. Hillary strengths are experience in campaigning and Bill's strategic knowledge. Hillary will not hold press conferences and will be put in places where all she has to do is give a stump speech to friendly crowds.

Truth will win out....hildabeast will lose...if Condi runs ... she'll win .... hildabeast has some surprises coming to her in let's say 2006. Once these surprises surface...she'll be toast. ;o)

I wouldn't be so optimistic. Look at John Kerry, an unabashed liberal, Catholic-in-name-only, and Yankee elitist to the core, and with some skeletons in his closet in connection with his Vietnam war record and antiwar activities, who received 48% of the national vote. It is hard to imagine Hillary Clinton doing much worse.

For that reason, running a RINO like Romney, Giuliani, or (if the Constitution is amended) Schwarzenegger against Hillary Clinton or any other Democrat would be a disaster. It would invite a right wing challenge, possibly involving Justice Roy Moore of Alabama, who might just win a few Deep South states and even Texas and Oklahoma in a three way race. Even if not, the lack of enthusiasm for a RINO vs. Democrat race would keep millions of conservatives at home. New Mexico, Florida, Ohio, Iowa, West Virginia, Arkansas, and possibly Missouri and Virginia could go Democrat. Giuliani may pick up New York and New Jersey, and Schwarzenegger California, but their unpopularity south of the Potomac, west of the Alleghenies, and east of the Sierra Nevada would mark their candidacies as doomed.

To hold the Republican Party together, the next Presidential candidate should not be to the left of President Bush.

She may very well run. But you can bet that numerous nut cases are already oiling their rifles. Would love to see a Condi vs Hillary show though

If the Republicans ever tried to run Cheney (MY heart stalls at the thought) it would be a LANDSLIDE for the Democrats no matter who they run

Good question. Edwards comes to mind. Also Kerry. Kerry was in the Senate for 20 yrs and did nothing. I guess a one term Senator like Hillary would fit right in I suppose. I just don't get the so-called star appeal for Hillary. She's an empty suit.
