"According to statements issued by the front, JAMI's military wings, called the Salah-al-Din and Sayf-Allah al-Maslul Brigades, have carried out dozens of operations against the US occupation forces. Among the operations for which it has claimed credit are the shelling of the occupation command headquarters and the semi-daily shelling of Mosul airport."![](http://webpages.charter.net/aircover/USAflag.gif)
"Also on Sunday, it announced the arrest of Lieutenant Colonel Khaled Rajab, accused of running a 40-person militant cell in and around the northern city of Mosul..."
"Al-Maslul" means "from Mosul."

Life is good (for us).

Smart move on Syria's part. At least it shows the regime is not suicidal, which means we may be able to accomplish our national defense objectives without military intervention.
Let's hope and pray Iran - which we all know is harboring unspecified Al Qaeda leaders - follows Syria's lead. Doubtful, but we can hope.
