Yeah, she only said that so when this guy tries to turn Iraq into a puppet state of Iran, she can say "I told you so". It's all so predictable. From the moment Bush decided to invade.

Not what I said. Perhaps you need to reread what I said...

Her assesment is that the new leader of Iraq has close ties to Iran. This is true and nothing you will say can refute that. I was simply saying that I am also concerned about him and what he may do in relation to how Iran is ran. If you arent concerned based on the guys past being so cozy with Iran, perhaps dropping your partisan crap and looking at the issue will help?

Just because the guy says Hillary is misinformed doesn't mean he isnt talking out of the other side of his mouth and not mentioning the motives he is most certainly not going to share (if he has motives).

He also could be an honest man who has no theocratic plans. I am just looking at the guys past history. It is enough to give pause.

Here is the explanation that I recall hearing explaining why Jafari went to Iran.

When Saddam was in power, there were only two places to flee.

One, if you were wealthy, was to London.

The other was to escape to Tehran.

Jafari, a doctor, but not wealthy, fled to Iran. After 10 years or so, he moved to London.

I can not recall the source, except that it was a talk radio program.

I know, I wasn't restating what you posted. My opinion is no one's but my own. Perhaps you think I was being sarcastic? I wasn't. When I post sarcasm I always identify it with a (/<sarcasm) tag in order to avoid misunderstandings just like this.

you said; "He also could be an honest man who has no theocratic plans."

Sixty to seventy percent of all Iraqi's have "theocratic plans". That is why he was elected. It would be surprising if he didn't have "theocratic plans". He doesn't have to be dishonest to have "theocratic plans."

Does anyone still believe the majority Iraqi's want democracy? Most want theocracy. Thats what they have always wanted. To expect that a democratic election would result in democracy is naive at best.
