Terri Schiavo's Parents Lose Appeals Court Motion to Delay Issuing Opinion

Clearwater, FL (LifeNews.com) -- The parents of Terri Schiavo lost another legal battle Monday in their fight to prevent their daughter from being starved to death. The Florida 2nd District Court of Appeal denied a motion filed by Bob and Mary Schindler asking it to delay issuing a mandate that could allow Terri's death.

Earlier this month, the appeals court rejected a legal argument saying starving Terri to death would violate her religious liberties. As a Catholic, the Schindlers contend Terri would not want to have her life ended.

The appeal court is expected to issue a mandate in the case tomorrow afternoon that has the potential of allowing Terri's estranged husband Michael to remove her feeding tube and start the week-long starvation and dehydration process.

If she had been an Iraq Soldier, she would have nothing to worry about. Since she's American, her life is worthless. Go figure.

The husband and the liberal judges seem bound and determined to kill this woman...even when her parents would take on all the costs.

Begs the question why?

The courts have decided that they want to legislate euthanasia of the disabled. They are holding Terri up as their sacrifice to get it.

Why don't a group of folks just go in and kidnap her and bring her to safety. Don't we have any special ops forces for these poor folks?

They're probably all in Iraq spreading freedom.

Is the judge going to order her mouth taped shut also, to keep her from begging for her life?

That's exactly what this is about. It disgusts me beyond words that there are "conservatives" supporting it. In fact, I think the JUDGE claims to be a conservative and a Republican.

Please invoke St. Jude's help for Terry:

Most holy apostle, St. Jude, faithful servant and friend of Jesus, the Church honors and invokes you, universally, as the patron of hopeless cases, of things almost despaired of. Please pray for Terry, she is so helpless and alone. Please make use, I implore you, of that particular privilege given to you, to bring visible and speedy help where help is almost despaired of. Please come to her assistance in these great needs, that she may receive the consolation and help of heaven in all her necessities, tribulations, and sufferings, particularly let her continue to be fed, to live, and to have visits from her priest and family. And I promise, O Blessed St. Jude, to be ever mindful of these great favors, to always honor you as my special and powerful patron, and to gratefully encourage devotion to you.

I'm afraid that if it was being done to my daughter, I would exact a like punishment on those responsible for such a callous killing of her. What purpose are they serving by keeping her in the custody of an ex-husband and a blood-thirsty "guardian/judge"? The only decent thing would be to grant the parents custody and let them take care of their daughter.

It's an increasingly dark and evil world we live in...

If I was her father, I would in no uncertain terms let the husband know, that the moment my daughter dies, his life is also forfeited, PERIOD, WITH ABSOLUTE CERTAINTY, WITH EQUIVILENT PAIN.

Somehow, I cannot believe that Terri will be given a death penalty, the first knowingly innocent and disabled person in America to die while a captive of a state.

Jesus, please work a miracle.
