I had some zero-carb cola this morning.
It's called "water".

Dittos that. Unfortunately, I can't use Splenda either. It gives me asthma problems.

I'll still probably cut it with Jack Daniel's anyway.

Ditto for me. But I'm a sweet freak; I like Wild Cherry.

*blaaahhh!*... LOL!
That's ok, the more altered junk in my diet, the worse I feel. So I'll just stick to water, maybe with an occasional twist of lemon. (It's cheaper, anyway!)

Try Diet Coke with Drambuie. The two were made for each other.

Coke C2 is tolerable...it does taste better, than the "diet"/villina/lymon taste like c**p...If reg. COKE is somewhat too sweet, C2 is fine.

My one and only migraine in my long aged years was when I switched from coca cola to diet coke about 15 years ago.
That very night, it happened. Thought a meat cleaver was coming through my skull !!
Threw away the rest of the diet coke and never had another diet drink again ---- also never had another migraine... Go figure
Back then it was nutrasweet as the artificial sweetener.

I really liked Pepsi One. The reason it "failed to catch on" is that they didn't make enough of it. The stores around here rarely had it on the shelves and as soon as some showed up, it was gone within minutes.
My thoughts exactly. I love Pepsi One but it disappears so quickly from the store. I've complained my local market that, if they are constantly running out, then they obviously don't stock enough of the stuff. But, so far, they have ignored me.

Some favor existing products like Diet Coke, while others want drinks flavored with Splenda. Coke just announced plans to sell a Splenda-sweetened version of Diet Coke. Good idea. I trust Splenda more than Nutrasweet.

C2 tastes pretty decent, but it's been a total flop in the marketplace. The problem with C2 is that people who want to avoid carbs want to
avoid carbs, not just cut down a little. And a single bottle of Coke and Pepsi has so many carbs in it that even cutting the amount in half (as C2 does) still leaves you with more carbs than most low-carbers would want to ingest in an entire day. Who's going to pay extra for that?
Ironically, Coke and other soft drinks would naturally have fewer carbs (and fewer simple carbs, which are the worst kind) if they'd just switch back from high-fructose corn syrup to real sugar.

The stores around here rarely had it on the shelves and as soon as some showed up, it was gone within minutes. There's plenty of it at every store here, but I never see anyone buy it. I think it failed because it just doesn't taste right. I can't really put my finger on it, because it's not really so much a flavor problem as that there's just something to it that makes your brain say, "Is this truly potable?" when it's in your mouth.

As long as nobody - and I mean NOBODY - screws with my Diet Coke, everything will be just fine. What you said!!!

I think it's a good idea. After years of ingesting one chemical that supposingly causes brain cancer, I'll switch to another chemical and give my brain a rest.
