I sincerely hope you are right but, IMO, the jury is still out on where Iraq ultimately ends up.

I don't have a lot of worries about where Iraq will end up. I've believed for a long time that, with enough support to get them started, the Iraqis will grab onto freedom and democracy with both hands. I held my breath on January 30th and the turnout more that proved that my belief was well founded. The results of that election could not have been more perfect.

If the US just hangs in there long enough for them to get their police and army up to snuff, Iraq will be a model for the ME.
