'Apocalypse Now' is one of my favorite films of all time. It's not really about Vietnam. I see something new in that movie each time I see it. I judge a man by his work. Spielberg is a consumate God gifted film maker. He's also raised countless millions for WW2 vets and Holocaust survivors.

Well, as we are talking movies...Spielberg never did much for me. I wasn't that impressed with Jaws(personal taste) and ET was drivel. I liked Indiana Jones, but that was Lucas's idea, he produced and handed the entire package to S with a bow. Regarding Schindler, I don't go to movies to be educated but entertained. A truly great work on the Holocaust was the documentary, Shoah. Schindler pales compared to this (I understand that S paid for part of it, but had no real part of it's filming). S does support WW2 vets and Holocaust cause. He also supports the worse of the progressive Democrats and all they have attempted to wrought on our country. He is also a close friend and fellow traveler of Rob Reiner.
Regarding "Apocalypse Now", we know it wasn't about Viet Nam (in my opinion, it wasn't even a good adaptation of Heart of Darkness). Unfortunatley, due to it's popularity, it really helped to re-inforce the Left's myth regarding the "crazy vet".
