Relatives Of Slain N.J. Family Meet With FBI, Lawmakers [Ahem... 'first time'?!]

WASHINGTON -- Relatives of a slain New Jersey family of four were slated to meet with FBI officials and federal lawmakers Tuesday and planned to speak for the first time about the crimes.

Hossam Armanious, 47, his 37-year-old wife Amal Garas, and their daughters, Sylvia, 15, and Monica, 8, all had puncture wounds to their throats. Their bodies were found bound and gagged in separate rooms of their Jersey City home on Jan. 14, a day before the family planned to throw Sylvia a Sweet 16 party. The family, Coptic Christians, came to the United States in 1997 from their native Egypt. Copts, or Egyptian Christians, comprise roughly 10 percent of Egypt's population of 70 million.

Local prosecutors have not ruled out any motive, including whether Armanious might have angered Muslims with his postings under the name "I Love Jesus" in an Internet chat room, leading to the killings. But they also caution that finances might have been a motive in the killing. Hudson County Prosecutor Edward DeFazio has said the FBI has gone to Egypt to investigate the crime. The murders have created tension between Muslims and Coptic Christians in the Jersey City area, home to about 30,000 Copts, one of the largest concentrations in the country.

Armanious worked for the banquet department of the Westin Princeton Hotel, and his wife worked for the U.S. Postal Service in Kearny, N.J.

I think I just heard on FNC that one of their co-workers has now been found dead.

Different case.

The co-worker they're referring to is an inspector at a water treatment facility, who was apparently drowned by one or more co-workers.

No ties to the family killed by Muslims.

What a teaser. I haven't heard him say anything more. He's talking about some car chase now. Who cares!?

I did. But I'm still trying to figure out #4.

Is lupus caused by deer ticks?

Imagine the stories on the network news if they had been a muslim family that had been tied to chairs and had their throats slit. The fact that they are christians meant they got no time with the MSM.

No. It's not that they're Christians.

It's a combination of things. Laziness, fear, lack of Islamic contacts... but basically it's been a 'cold-case' file since day one.

It stinks!
