Just saw the ad for the upcoming Interview with Jose Canseco, this Sunday on 60 Minutes.
Big surprise they booked him, seeing as he said Bush knew about all the Steroid usage while he was the Managing Partner of the Texas Rangers.
Why do you think they let him on to begin with??? All you have to do to get on is trash Bush.
Jose Canseco has as much crediblity as Billy Burkett.
Bush fault !!!!!
What is this "CBS" thing you refer to? /sarcasm
It's the "We'll put anything on the Air, even if it's fake, if it makes a Republican look bad." Channel.
"It's the "We'll put anything on the Air, even if it's fake, if it makes a Republican look bad." Channel."
Oh yes....THAT SeeBS channel.
Second, there was a time, and not that long ago, when known steroid use caused raised eyebrows, but wasn't considered particularly harmful. This sounds like but another plan from an unbiased 60 Minutes to try to embarrass Bush. Now that's a surprise.
This is nothing but Canseco saying he "thinks" Bush might have known.
In other words, it has no substance and is either Canseco's opinion or Canseco saying something controversial intentionally.
Will someone who "thinks" or KNOWS that President Bush had no knowledge also be invited on the show?
Canseco may be an embarassment, but he isn't a fool when it comes to marketing...
He knew the "Bush knew" tack would get him tons of airtime and publicity.
CBS doing a hit piece on GW Bush? Who woulda thunk it.
I think I read where next week's 60 minutes has a Morley Safer interview with a former child star who will tell of President Bush's visits to Neverland Ranch during the early 80's.
Would have been a lot more impressed if 60 Minutes did a piece about steroid abuse in MLB 10 years ago.
60 Minutes could be worth watching for another reason, however brief it is:
..."watch that piece on "60 Minutes" this Sunday, not for Canseco, but for Howard Bryant....The author of the outstanding Shut Out on the institutionalized racism of the Boston Red Sox, Howard Bryant is currently writing what should prove to be the definitive history of what's become known as "the Juiced Era," a book that you're sure to hear about when it hits the shelves this fall....Bryant was interviewed for Sunday's "60 Minutes" piece and stands to be the voice of reason amid the shady confessions of Canseco."...

Surprise.
This is so predictable now it's lost all its spice.
no kidding.........I've been an Oakland A's fan and went to their first game here in 1968.....many of us always admired Big Mac and though cheered Jose cause he was on "our" team, thought him to be an egotistical jack ass
OK, waiting for the pic of Hillary! with a copy of Canseco's book screeching "What did Bush know, and WHEN did he know it?"
He's been in a fog since this:
"MY MOST EMBARRASSING BASEBALL EXPERIENCE: It had to be the time the ball bounced off my head against Cleveland and went for a home run. I was playing with the Rangers and the batter hit a deep line-drive to right. I ran back to the wall and when I turned around the ball was already there and hit me on top of the head and went over the wall for a home run. I really didn't feel it. I was just embarrassed."
I remember when this happened. There is a picture out there somewhere. He lost what little sense he had and is now hallucinating.
who cares? let them take steroids... they'll burn out faster than a fire cracker. these men are adults and have only themselves to blame.
