U.S. Surgeon General Carmona, could be eyeing a run for Arizona governor next year

Some top state Republicans see Carmona -- a registered independent appointed by President Bush in 2002 -- as a formidable challenger to Democratic Gov. Janet Napolitano next year. Some GOP leaders are encouraging him to take on Napolitano.

ooooo, I think I like this. We need to be setting the stage to hold on to the White House in 2008 and beyond.

This is a sure loser. No name recognation and Napolitano will be a very strong contender if she runs.
