Excellent. Lawyers are not above the law; it's about time all lawyers learned and applied that lesson.
As an attorney myself, I don't have a high opinion of my profession. Read Matthew 23; if you substitute the word "Pharisee" with "Lawyer" very little, if any, is lost in the way of meaning.
Yesterday's Pharisees are today's lawyers.
Luke 11:46
And he said, Woe unto you also, ye lawyers! for ye lade men with burdens grievous to be borne, and ye yourselves touch not the burdens with one of your fingers.
Luke 11:52
Woe unto you, lawyers! for ye have taken away the key of knowledge: ye entered not in yourselves, and them that were entering in ye hindered.
The Pharisees were "doctors of the law", which I suppose was the contemporary equivalent of a J.D.
And yeah, I'm another one that these jokers are making look bad . . . :-(

In Texas we had a law that kept "Officers of the court" from advertising.
Lawyers licensed in Texas were considered to be Officers of the court.
We had very little need of tort reform then.
The law was changed and the term liar and lawyer became to mean the same.
I'm an attorney also and its a sickening profession for a lot of reasons. You are right.
