From Page C01 of today's Washington Post. Kurtz is now on the story, quoting left-wing websites. I've tried to excerpt the highlights, but there's a lot mote to the story if you click on the link.

Here we have life long liberal, Dan Rather, going on national TV and presenting forged documents in an effort to bring bdown a sitting President and the left has their panties in a wad over this witch hunt of Jeff Gannon???
Maybe we should dig deep into a few of these leftist reporters like Dana Milbank, David Gregory, and a few others in the leftist media

Where is the video of this..Why is the MSM not demanding its release.

Good thing they nailed him. The last thing this country needs is a reporter with a political agenda.

There is nothing surprising about the left using these tactics. It's all they know, and as usual they get by with a little help from their MSM allies who taught them everything they know about how to run an effective smear.
To: conservative in nyc
Not that he's the first reporter to do so, but it really was pretty lame, even as a softball question.

I suppose the lesson here is if you have something to hide, going in front of the public is the last place you should be. Mr. Gannon found out the hard way.
Not that we shouldn't do the same to the left, since they set the rule up, and they're much more likely to be cruising for homo one-night-stands anyway.
They just don't get it. They set up the rules, and the right can use them, too. And every time the right uses their rules and they try to ignore them, the left loses just a little more credibility. It's like calling people racist or sexist or homophobic. Crying wolf like that doesn't win friends...but it does influence people, who won't want you around them.

Gannon's resignation highlights the
no-holds-barred atmosphere of the Weblol.. what a bunch of pussies these "paragons of virtue" and practitioners of 'impartial' reporting have become.

Washington Post has sunk to a new low for them. Making news out of trivia.
They are floundering. Blind leading the blind.

The information about Gannon was posted on the liberal sites Daily Kos, Atrios and World o' Crap. Atrios is a nansty little SOB
If I recall didn't the Dkos have to take down a thread about the military he wrote?

So Kurtz' only source....is the dailykos and some other web sites. The folks at the Howard Dean campaign admitted that dailykos' Zuniga was on their payroll. And it is shown true on Zuniga's company web site
www.armstrongzuniga.com
left side
So Kurtz runs with the basis of his story being mainly from the internet. Which is funny since, at first, he was against the memogate story ...based on its blogbase...and the memogate story had many other sources.
No shock...on another thread...someone posted this info that shows Kurtz may have been working with the folks at dailykos. (see below line). Keep in mind..what the dailykos poster wrote below...is factually wrong. The White House does not handle press passes. Those are handled by the Congressional Press Galleries.
"
http://georgia10.dailykos.com/story/2005/2/7/203035/3282 There's no indication in the column of when McClellan said this, however. Kurtz did get one important thing out in the open: that Gannon uses a pseudonym "he declines to reveal." (No one has yet attempted an explanation of why the Secret Service would approve a "reporter" with a false name, which tells me that they know very well what his real name is.) In an effort to find out a bit more, and to see if he could tell me how to apply for White House press credentials, I called Kurtz. But he never called me back. I guess when you're a big-time columnist, you're awfully busy.
However, a long-time friend who writes for one of our larger metropolitan dailies was able to give me the name and phone number of the person who handles administrative matters for their international news desk. That person was extraordinarily helpful and, once I had explained that I was trying to discover the process to apply for White House press credentials, offered to call the DC bureau for me.
The information returned from the large metropolitan daily's Washington bureau confirmed what I suspected all along: Anyone seeking a White House press pass must write, on official letterhead, to Jeff's friend Scottie."

Uh huh...meanwhile, CNN's Eason Jordan, who kept his high profile in the MSM despite admitting covering up Saddam Hussein's brutality for years, has his posterior protected by Kurtz now that he's foolishly suggested before a celebrity panel that American troops in Iraq targeted imbedded journalists for death.
What media bias?

Nothing here but more politics of personal destruction as practiced in prissy self-rightousness by the left. They set out to get this guy and they succeeded in digging up enough dirt to make him quit. But that may have had more to do with them broadcasting his name and address and posing a threat to his family than anything else.
I agree with an their poster, in that their more than biased reporters should be held to the same standard.
