PITTSBURGH -- Where are you more likely to become a victim of a home invasion?

Home invasions are happening everywhere, but most police departments in the suburbs Target 11 contacted don't designate them as such. Instead, home invasions are placed in either the robbery or burglary category.

The state doesn't differentiate either, but in the city of Pittsburgh, police have found it's to their advantage to know exactly where home invasions are happening and how often.

"In only the past two years, the squad has investigated 330 home invasions, showing 72 of the city's 88 neighborhoods have been hit."

You must be ready at all times.

I always get a kick out of watching the actors in the Brinks alarm systems ads. The family huddle up after the alarm goes off, and are very afraid of the bogeyman, until the Brinks operator calls. Then everything is hunkydory. I'd like to see some firearms ads made in the same theme, but with the homeowner scaring the crap out of the intruder(s) with a loaded gun!

Someone forward this to the Homeland Security Department, quick!

They need to use this information to stop the invasion at the borders.

Down here in the South, a person would have to be insane or terminally stupid to go into another fella's house at night unless he was sure no one was at home.

Is it even legal to advertise firearms on TV?
I don't remember ever seeing one, although I haven't watched TV the last few years.

This stuff is no joke. Too many people are unprepared to defend themselves when the dung hits the fan. Most don't even know how to throw a punch or kick, let alone defend a loved one against a violent criminal.

I started taking a class - www.attackproof.com

Ask yourself - what would you do if attacked? Would you know how to attack? Would you know how to strike? Would you know to go nuts on someone?

If the answer is you don't know - you are finished.

Three men busted into an acquaintences' home in Houston about a year ago. He has four bullet scars to show for it.

He had to kill one of them, one's in prison and the third man dissapeared.

What is troubling is that PA is a right to carry state with a high rate of gun ownership.

Here's my invasion robbery answer. Even though it's made in China, the H&R Pardner Pump 12 ga., is a very reliable, inexpensive copy of the Remington 870. Mine cost just $150, and I've seen it for that price in lots of places.

Shoots well and has screw-in chokes. I bought the 28" barrel because I can also use it for hunting, if I want. They have a Turkey Gun version, though, with a 22" barrel, if that's your pleasure.

"Ask yourself - what would you do if attacked? Would you know how to attack? Would you know how to strike? Would you know to go nuts on someone? "

Before confronting the bad guy:
1. Press the action release.
2. Operate the action with a quick pull/push.
3. Press the safety button.
Confronting the bad guy:
4. Aim and fire.

I would rather see a video of an actual intrusion where the homeowner empties his firearms into the intruder(s).

I doubt it is, except on the NRA channel. Wishful thinking on my part.

A sensible man carries a gun, even in the house. He sleeps with a shotgun beside the bed.

He doesn't have to be afraid.

Your observation is correct but the crimes seem to occur in Pittsburgh and Philly, bastions of the cowardly left and enclaves of those held down by the left.
