"We're going to destroy our environment in the name of fear," said Peter Douglas, the [Coastal Commission]'s executive director. "Frankly, there are ways that we can do both, protecting the environment and meeting the concerns of border control and homeland security."

Gotta love these instant security experts in the world of tree-huggers.

We need to extend this fence across the entire border, not just a measly 3.5 miles. We can easily afford to do it.

Sensenbrenner was on Rush's show today (Roger Hedgecock was hosting). He made a point that the human trafficking etc., is already trampling the environment that (of course) the environmentalists ignore. So, the fence could do nothing worse than the smugglers are to the area.. Sounds rational to me..

PS.. Build the fence.. YESTERDAY!!

There's going to be some sort of rally in April in DC about this topic.. wish I had more details, but will post if I run across them..
