Has no one there heard of gravity?
The Arab world gave up on progress in scientific knowledge after Islam took over in the 6th and 7th centuries. Before that they named the visible stars, created the numbering system used globally today (as opposed to hieroglyphics or roman numerals), and were the greatest mathematicians and mapmakers in the world.
Now they are still stuck in the middle ages.
