I'm no christian, but I always thought Christianity was ,atleast in part, about sharing and compassion, but after reading this I guess I was wrong in thinking that. (mark 6:35?)

Anyway I don't really see why people who don't believe would by definition have no morals. And the claim that “if there is no God then anything is permissible.” is also not true I think. Not only have most people a sense of right and wrong, there is also the rule of law people create and abide by.

I live in western Europe, god left my country years ago and things like murder rate, abortion rate and teen pregnancy rate are really low here. If lack of faith would lead to lack of morals I'd would expect those to be higher then a religious country such as america.
