I do wish to point out that there is a huge difference between the American republic and it's foundations and traditions of liberty and the German state which was traditionally a state where you obeyed, there was no tradition of any liberty whatsoever

I would hate to have to trust my rights to mere tradition. Rights are just traditional in Britian and we can see what's happening there.

No, a Constitution is better than tradition, and a .45 is better still.
