NEW YORK (Reuters) -- The original thoughts of Osama bin Laden and other al Qaeda leaders will be made available in English next year in a book, "The Al Qaeda Reader," whose publisher says is intended to educate the American people.

Don't they confiscate all the profits from books murderers write to compensate victims? Maybe that could be done in this case.
Son of Sam Law -- you can't profit from a crime YOU commit. The publisher can profit.
Heck, we have crap such as this here on Free Republic: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-bloggers/1323855/posts
If the families sue, it might go all the way to the Supreme Court as a free speech issue. The equivalent would be the publication of Mein Kampf and the attendant pain this would cause to Holocaust victims and their descendents. I believe publishing Mein Kampf is legal in this country, although it is forbidden in Germany.
On Cavuto's show it was said that the publisher's proceeds are all going to charity.
I would be skeptical on that. In any event, I would argue that the book has little value for typical American readers without some kind of commentary included throughout the text. Speaking for myself (a typical American reader) I could read the thing and come away with just, "Yeah, the guy hates us...I get it."
If ever there was a time for book burning......
Of course, the charity is TNT for Tots, but that's another matter....
On of the best things we can do is allow them to publish this.
Why? Because it would overturn about 90% of the beliefs of the blame-america-firsters as to the cause of the hatred for us.
The more people that have an accurate picture of the motives of these terrorists the better. There will be even less sympathy for them.
If one wants to know more, read the history of the development of the Koran.
There is only one solution to their medieval conversion by the sword mentality, i.e. kill each and everyone of them without hesitation. Our strategy and tactic will ultmately win out, misguided bleeding hearts notwithstanding.
I would get this book if it turns out to be an intelligently constructed anthology. I'd love to have the "black and white" readily available when some libdiot tells me they don't hate us for our freedom, or that Bin Laden only wants us to leave the Middle East, etc.
Agreed.
