Excellent question. Did he bring it home as a "war trophy"? If so - and if it is fully automatic - has he paid his transfer tax? On his Form 4 did he state that he has never received a "dishonorable discharge"? Hmmmmmmm........Seems as though the fine folks at BATFE should be able to answer those questions, but would most likely decline to do so.
