TIN FOIL HAT CONSPIRACY THEORISTS UNITE!! - (2:30 PM - 5:30 PM)

TIN FOIL HAT CONSPIRACY THEORISTS UNITE!!

Have you ever had the discomfiting suspicion that powerful people get together and plan nefarious things such as fraudulent elections? Well, you must be one of those TinFoil Hat Conspiracy Theorists? we are constantly being advised to ridicule.

Well, we say Stand Up and Be Proud! You are invited to wear a tinfoil hat of your own design, and to carry a sign that suggests you might just be one of those TFHCT?s -- on January 20, Counter- Inaugural Day.

Join Code Pink at the Convention Center - south end, on MLK Blvd at 2:30 p.m. We'll march across the Burnside Bridge to the North Park Blocks to join up with other J20 counter-inauguralists. We even have a permit.

We'll have a contest for the best tin foil hat. Oh, and we DO care about the environment. The hats will be collected and compacted and will be sent to George W. Bush and Donald Rumsfeld, to use as their personal body armour.

Status: CONFIRMED
Location: meet at Convention Center, south side and MLK, Portland, OR

I made a mistake with the link to the counter inaugural site. Here it is:

http://www.counter-inaugural.org/phpical/month.php?cal=Out-of-town+events

They do seem to be organized. I suppose obsessive-compulsive behavior is the hallmark of a good tinfoil hatter?

I wonder how many will really show up?
From what I've heard, the Not a Damn Dime and walk out of work protests are a complete bust.

Interesting to see how our new mayor and chief of police handle the demonstrators. This is just the first of three planned demonstrations for today. Guess the whackos don't have a day job.

I saw a DU poster over there this morning who dubbed this "Not a Damn Breath Day" because he doesn't want to breathe the same air as Republicans. Keep holding it, sir..........

"Happy" Coronation Day everyone!

What are you doing to "celebrate"? I'm participating in Not One Damn Dime Day and wearing all black except for my t-shirt that says "voter fraud is not a mandate. george bush is not my president."

If you were allowed 5 minutes to address the crowd at the coronation to say whatever you want (and you couldn't be tossed in Gitmo or shot or anything), what would you say?

Exactly. Their organization breaks down pretty rapidly once the protests starts which is what makes them so unpredictable.

Tsk tsk, the Notonedamndime.com web-site is up and running. By accessing the site they made a damn dime off of me. The nit wit who runs it is an IT guy, he knows the business. He and his partner were on WRKO yesterday. She could not identify Neville Chamberlain. "Got CREDIBILITY?"

Stress relief exercise...

Having a tough day? Try this method of stress relief...

* Picture yourself near a stream.

* Birds are softly chirping in the crisp, cool, mountain air.

* No one knows your secret place.

* You are in total seclusion from that hectic place called "the world".

* The soothing sound of a gentle waterfall fills the air with a cascade of serenity.

* The water is clear.

* You can easily make out the face of the person you're holding under the water...

There now... feeling better?

These people make me want to puke! I post on an supposedly non-political message board that has a bunch of liberal or should I say progressives. (I think it's funny they are ashamed to be called liberals now. It is also amazing that they think they can hide behind a name change.) When the statement came out yesterday that the company that did the election exit polls admitted they made mistakes these people still would not accept it. They have their "smoking gun" and by God they are not going to let facts get in their way. How people get this brainwashed is what baffles me. These are people who should not be on the internet. They believe every crackpot theory that comes along and don't know legitimate news from paranoid conspiracy theories.

Being nuts would be ok if they were not so mean spirited. It astounds me that these metaphysical types who believe that their thought shape their reality can not see they are the most negative petty people on the planet. I can't imagine being in a room full of them. That would be hell on earth. Just coming across their posts is like a whiff of brimstone

Thanks for the pics. Was it very cold yesterday in Portland? The protesters don't seem to be very warmly dressed. Perhaps the police could have hosed them down with water and let these delusional souls unlock themselves in the cold.

I'm still trying to figure out why they'd handcuff themselves to a GAS PUMP!!

That's just a wee bit explosive I think.
