When I was in high school back in the early 1960’s, my mother and I lived in an old house that had been converted into apartments. Two female schoolteachers lived in the adjoining apartment. A very thin wall separated my bed and their bed. I received quite an education from the two schoolteachers. They were either fighting, making love, or both.

Likewise Amherst. Northanmpton is gorgeous, but a very hostile environment too. I never experienced an atmosphere filled with so many hateful women! My niece, got so disgusted with all the colleges, she opted to stay at home, and attend a community college. Thank God! She felt she couldn't deal with living around this messed up lifestyle.

There are several top schools there, but I don't think Holy Cross is a bad choice. My only question would be about living accomodations, because Holy Cross' neighborhood looks awfully sketchy.
