Right now they are a pain in the butt to Free Dominion, but it the long run, it sucks to be them.
Indeed. FD will be back up soon enough, (hopefully with anti-hacking security), and delivering the conservative message to Canada. Meanwhile their message appeals to no one at all. Hopefully they will be found, and arrested. Perp-walked like the low-life scum they are. Man, I'd love to be there. Laughing, chortling.

This site called internet liberation front(http://www.freewebs.com/internetliberationfront/) has hacked into a website called Free Dominion which I am a member of and put in hateful messages. I'm calling upon you to act quickly against this illegal act of hacking.
Depending on your e-mail client program and your technical knowledge, you can probably check the e-mail headers and get a pretty good idea of where the e-mail originated (though I'd suspect some sort of anonymous mailer or header spoofing was used, unless they're really stupid hackers/kiddies).
Last night, on Hannity and Colmes, there was a member of "anti-inaugaral.org" . She is a first grade teacher (I hope today she isn't) who said she/they disagree with our form of government. These moonbats are abusing the constitution to forward their commie agenda. How classy to be hijacking websites to get their seditious message out. I hope some parents saw who's indoctrinating their 6yos.
I was on site when they struck......they should be made too pay big time. I got the e-mail about an hour later.

The first mistake is a free host. There protections for the server are ok, but his username/password was hacked (If it really was). It wasnt a serverwide hack so its either someone that knows them and is playing a joke, they use a very common password and someone figured it out, or its someone just trying to get attention.
To the best of my knowledge www. doesn't mean any particular country.
Free Dominion was originally hosted by the Free Republic Network, but we quickly got so busy that they told us to get our own server. :>)
They were right, and we did so. But now we have been hacked and we want to let freepers know that those who love freedom will be attacked in any country.
But the Free Republic model works in any country where the citizens want to live free. We have imported the Free Republic model into Canada.

Now let's not sink down to their level of hacking websites and such. That's for losers. Find out where they live then beat the sh*t out of them at their own homes. You'd have to do it while their parents are asleep because of their 9:00 curfews. A good sock in the mouth, bed sheets holding them down, and beating with bars of soap wrapped in blankets will work for them if it worked for Private Pyle.
I seem to recall that we have a good name for this in our Country....."Felony". Is Canuckistan asking for aid now too?

I encourage you to take this one straight to the authorities. But don't expect them to give a damn unless there's over $5,000 in damages and/or you're very politically-connected with some big rollers. Not a judgment on the downtime and PITA factor...just the way things work.
As an aside, I encourage you to NOT ask others to attack these crackers. If someone does do it, you could be up on charges of criminal conspiracy. Believe me, you don't want to be in that position.

No, Free Dominion is asking for assistance from FReepers.
President George W. Bush was in Canada November 30 and the first people he saw were Free Dominioners waving Canadian and American flags in welcome.
He later referred to our welcome as a "five fingered wave". When Bill Clinton came to Canada he was greeted by Free Dominioners who gave him the "one fingered wave".
Bill Clinton did not represent FReepers, the current government of Canada does not represent Free Dominioners. We are all in the same battle, let's fight together instead of fighting each other.
The principles of conservatism must prevail, regardless of the cowardly hackers who would try to silence us.
When i hear Free Republic's Canadian chapter its funny is what im saying. Why would freerepublic need a canadian chapter via the web? Unless Canadians cant access the normal freerepublic.com - the last time i checked they could.
A freerepublic canadian chapter.. would be something more like Freerepublic.ca
The only type of assistance I can think of would be to better inform the webmaster/sysadmins at FD how to run a secure website. The hackers obviously found a vulnerability which shouldn't have been there.
Thankfully Free Republic has never been hacked. And I doubt it ever will because the people that run it clearly know what they're doing, and write all their software themselves instead of using PHP/VBulletin or some other similar combo which are usually full of vulnerabilities.
Cause all we talk is American politics on here. Doesn't do the Canadians much good since they aren't America.
