In November, Sen. Barack Obama became the first black man elected to the Senate as a Democrat, but doesn't intend that historical first to be his only achievement.
"I haven't done anything yet, and I didn't get elected to just sit there and say I did it," said Mr. Obama, of Illinois.

This is quite a day for Senator Obama. First he gets high praise from your humble correspondent for his EXCELLENT choice of reading material on the Web and then he gets a generally favorable story written about him in the Washington Times. The new rule on the DUmmie FUnnies is that NO criticism of Senator Obama will be allowed. Yes, I hate to admit it but flattery WILL get you everywhere with your humble correspondent even if it is from a Democrat.

Obama had better do something. The democrats are treating him as if it were the second coming of Christ but he has absolutely no record to base the hype on.

Anyone got any info about black Republican senators if there has been one? Sorry I've never known this.

These days, the Democrats can only manage a substance-less rhetorical veneer. As long as Obama talks a good game, he'll be a huge success among Dems.

He is the dems golden child....they will hype him like they did Bubba....they fully intend that he be the first black US president...regardless of his ability or the content of his character....
Race is what matters..

That's probably the one he published a little while ago when he was only a state senator, but he is publishing a new one.

Anyone got any info about black Republican senators if there has been one? Sorry I've never known this. There were several from the south during reconstruction. Plus in the early 1970s, there was a Massachussets Republican, I believe his name was Ed Brooke.

The democrats are treating my governor (Granholm) in much the same way. The would love to see her run for president but that pesky constitution keeps getting in thier way.
