I just finished 'Born Fighting' last week. The ONLY down side to FR is keeping up with all the great books suggested here.
Remember, North Ireland had the right to vote themselves into the Irish Republic according to the various treaties. They declined to do so and remained at the United Kingdom's side during the dark hours of WW2. And let us not forget the 60,000 men who left the Irish Free State to fight Hitler. (Really, who's going to give a war and not invite the Irish?)
