Methinks there are tiny clues hidden in the news report:

"They were also the victims of a recent burglary, which left them frightened.

"After that they were very scared," Iscandar said. "They reinforced all their doors and windows."

Also the police are investigating the previous owners of the property.

Now I do not have any special knowledge of the community this family lived in or New Jersey generally. But this killing has the smell of a break-in as a warning of coming events that scared the he77 out of this family. The murders almost appear to have been done by a Satanic cult or the mob.

I live in Hudson County and there have been incidents of Coptics being sent threatending letters. The letters usually say something like "converto to Islam or die". It may be that his family was put to the test and chose option 2.

Either way I will pray for their souls.
