WOODBRIDGE, N.J. -- Charges were dismissed Monday against a 69-year-old nun who had been accused of threatening to knock out the teeth of a student she was disciplining for leaving class without pernission.
Louis Faccone, whose 11-year-old son was sent to see Sister Catherine Iacouzze, the assistant principal and disciplinarian at St. Cecelia School, withdrew the harassment charge he had filed against the nun in munincipal court.
The Diocese of Metuchen fired Iacouzze in December.
"Being a woman of faith, I firmly believed that in the end, truth would triumph over treachey," she said after the hearing had concluded, declining further comment.

"The phrasing was 'With an attitude like this, you're lucky you have all your teeth...' (Her lawyer) Mackevich said....

Again, please excuse the excerpt, I don't trust my cut and paste skills yet.
Good for Sister Catherine.

There are plenty of school children who need "knuckle sandwiches" on their lunch menu! Some parents, too!

I was just reading the thread about the lawyer for the kid who killed his unborn son by bashing his girlfriend in the stomach with a baseball bat. The parents of both kids are among their defenders. I think a few knuckle sandwiches would have done that crowd a world of good.

Nuns don't get fired...they get transfered. Anyway...I guess the 11 year old Waah waah will get over it and grow up to be a successful Metrosexual.
And the father...in his dotage...will say..."I support my son, however, he is, whatever he does.
All the while wondering what went wrong.

[Iacouzze does not plan to appeal her termination from the school, her lawyer said. She said her immediate plans are to take a long vacation.]
I suggest she take a permanent vacation from New Jersey and teach at a school where there are fewer dingbat parents and more respectful students.

Ahaaa!...We know Sister Catherine gets none and now we find young Faconne can't get Nun.
In the Catholic church Nun are ever satisfied.

That was a terrible nun pun. Either that...or I have to switch over to something stronger, than the 150 proof potato vodka that keeps my tiping so strait.

LOL! Takes me back to my youth - ah, the visions of nuns throwing erasers across the classroom and beaning boys on the head. Some of the Felician Nuns at Saint Anthony's in Jersey City could have been major league pitchers.
Sister Vianney R.I.P., could even throw a curve with one of those things. I swear I saw one turn at a right angle. I thought for sure I was a goner. It hit Jablonski at the desk next to me.
That was forty years ago, and I still remember it. I think it was a miracle.

We were terrified of the nuns when we were kids.
One of them really flung an eraser at a kid in my friend's class... without realizing that it had a brass handle... it almost knocked him out cold. Blood everywhere too.
Back then, the parents didn't call the school. He got his butt kicked by his father when he got home!
How times have changed!

There sure are a lot of interesting nun photos out there.
What kind of person would file charges against a nun for a "verbal" warning against his son? This is so ridiculous. The so-called father dropped the charges, what a jerk, filing charges against a nun because HIS son has a big mouth on him. Years ago, the nun would have slapped his face and his father would have taken care of the rest when he came home, how things have changes. Besides for learning religion, many parents DO send their children to Catholic Schools because of the good discipline. I like the good ol' sisters of years past, not the activist liberal sisters we have today.
