A moron thin-lipped, lying, dark-haired, beady-eyed scumball, Mark Guenther (sp?), on Chris Matthews spewing bull about Dan Blather and SeeBS........... says of Dan Rather, "He may not believe in the facts." Is this too funny!?
'Spitball' Chris Matthews keeps trying to hold up the SeeBS crutches.......... not working!
ping ............ to Hardball/CBS cover.
The elite media has broken the faith with us. Truth no longer matters as much to them nearly as much as their agenda.
Look at it this way.... would you depend on the French to defend America?
We muct learn to dismiss what the MSM says as essentially fairy tales.
This was a free for all, and Pat Buchanan, much to his credit, put the wood down on Blather' fat *ss.
Pat's been a little out there on some things of late, but tonight he stood hard by G.W. and quite strongly against the nasty lefties at CBS!
Are there real live breathing people who don't beat their spice (plural of spouse) or their kids, put their pants on one leg at a time, eat pizza, and drink Coke (as opposed to smoking it) that actually watch Chrispitting Matthews? I've never known one. Just wondering.
Just like Paul Voelker trying to tell the entire truth of the U.N., eh?
I was stuck! My dog's rump landed on the remote as he was being fed on the floor, and voila, there was Spitball Matthews. Then seeing it, I had to report.
;-)
Volker hardly delivered the truth. He delivered the sanitized information that the UN was willing to release and I'm betting that will only be known to the miniscle minority that avtually read Volker's report.
Look at the way the MSM perverted the findings of the 9/11 commission through omissions and selective releases.
What's the opposite of a full moon? That's him.
On Chris Matthews show tonight Judith Miller said with regard to the U.N. that it was the only game in town regarding the handling of the tsumani destruction and humanitarian crises. I could not believe she would say such a thing. This was in tandum with remarks about the grotesque mishandling of the oil-for-food corruption. Now she want to hand a few billion more dollars to the U.N. to handle the humanitarian crisis over in the Indian Ocean area.

This has now gone from "the dog ate my homework" to "I stand by my plagiarized book report."
ping
I heard that....... what an airhead!
LOL..They cannot help it..but the report did not say it was fake but accurate.
Well OK but you best get that doggie trained. Maybe he's shy about a Fox.
Rush said last week that after the election loss, the dems would get a grip on themselves. But he admitted they still don't seem to have gotten the message from the voters so Rush expects them to continue their downward spiral.
Is spice really the plural form of spouse? never heard it used before.
What is this, "pile on the talk show fan day" on Free Republic?
I watch Chris Mathews because I just have to know what idiocy the left is pushing---just like today Rep. Weiner (D) of New York was on Fox and said that it was okay for Bush to have swearing in ceremony on Jan 12, but because of the war and the tsunami, it would be in poor taste and just plain wrong to have the hoopla surrounging the inauguration.
Never mind how many businesses big and small would be hurt, even lose money---
And I thought the dems were for the "regular people" like waiters and waitresses, hotel personnel, taxi drivers, limo drivers, even babysitters for gosh sakes ----they would all be hurt if cancelled at this late date!!!
2 years ago, 60 % believed the MSM
Last year, they reaffirmed the Duranty Pulitzer and the number dropped to 50%
Now we have Rathergate and only 40% of the people believe the press.
Its a great joy to watch this bloated carcass whither away.
We have been living Orwell's 1984 for at least 20 years - if only Berny Goldberg had been a more forceful Diogenes - well at least we are awake now.
In Brit Hume's show tonight he had a segment about how the Dems have made a DECISION to be contrary and obstructionist this year because they are so unhappy with the way Bush has run things both foreign and domestic---
So now they are so proud of how they act that they announce to the world ahead of time that they are gonna be donkey's rear-ends. It is chutzpah, or suicide?
Where was the hippocrite Weiner when Clinton took 450+ of his fellow travelers to Africa? I guess Ruwanda was just a fly in the ointment. Where was he when Clinton paid his homage to China? It took a year of planning and a billion $ of taxpayer money to pay for his extravaganza. Oh I forgot, he was part of the entourage.
I was wrong when I said he was on Fox News--I remembered after I posted that it was on soon to be cancelled "Crossfire".
After Weiner made those remarks, Robert Novak showed a picture of the $1,900,000.00. It was a figure close to $2 million that was an un- earmarked amount in the omnibus bill for Weiner's district. He asked Weiner, if it wasn't earmarked for anything, then maybe he should just give it to the tsunami relief fund. Weiner then said that actually $2 million wasn't enough considering New York is the #1 terrorist target so the "deserve" a lot more money than they ever get.
Hm---and they were all complaining about the Republican National Convention in NY with all the big bucks they spent---
Actually, it's speese.
I turned it on today to see if anything was said about Tucker Carlson, or to even see if it was still on since CNN said they were going to discontinue it.
They should also cancel Captitol Gang---have you ever watched that piece of leftist crap? Margaret Carlson actually said this last Saturday that Jimmy Carter was one of the best presidents we ever had!!!
oops-Captitol=Capitol
I used to watch all of the CNN shows when there was no choice...now I don't.
Watch next time the two hours come up, or read now, or get a transcript!
From "Back To School"
Dean Martin [Ned Beaty]: "Well Thornton, did you cheat on the exam"?
Thornton Melon [Rodney Dangerfield](sweating, and in great distress): "I can't lie to you Dean Martin ..... NO!"
Dean Martin: "Well, I'm satisfied then...."
Yes, let it keep withering like browned, dried blades of grass in late October.
The problem is ..... it is just "WE" who are awake............ not too many more are awake!
2008 could be ugly for America if we do not awaken more!
I have to admit, their video coverage of the first Gulf War was incredible....then again, I haven't had TV now for 8 years.
FMCDH(BITS)
not bad!
Did she ever prove what an IDIOT she is!!!
"chutzpah, or suicide?"
LOL!! BOTH!!
Facts are simple and facts are straight
Facts are lazy and facts are late
Facts all come with points of view
Facts dont do what I want them to
Facts just twist the truth around
Facts are living turned inside out
Facts are getting the best of them
Facts are nothing on the face of things
Facts dont stain the furniture
Facts go out and slam the door
Facts are written all over your face
Facts continue to change their shape

" just like today Rep. Weiner (D) of New York was on Fox and said that it was okay for Bush to have swearing in ceremony on Jan 12, but because of the war and the tsunami, it would be in poor taste and just plain wrong to have the hoopla surrounging the inauguration."
Weiner should not have stopped there, to have any credibility.
He should introduce a bill in Congress mandating that all weddings, anniversary celebrations , birthday's, hotel receptions, cocktail parties , gallery openings, movie premieres, etc be banned until further notice.
No Hollywood awards shows, for sure.
Cancel the Oscars !
In fact, all forms of American enjoyment, including the NFL playoffs, The Super Bowl, college and high school basketball, cable and regular tv and Broadway theater and on and on, should go dark until the all clear is given.
And of course, all laughing should be suspended until the Democrats give the ok to smile again.
And supposedly this Rep Weiner (D-NY) is considered one of the more rational and 'moderate' Dems of the NY contingent. Sure wouldn't notice with his jumping into quicksand to help save all the already suffocating Dems who signed onto the "Boxer/Waters Rebellion"
No, but if you asked Yogi Berra I bet he'd think it should be, like I do. My dear brother used to make up his on words for different tenses of words and that's just one I can remember. It was kind of a tribute to him. I should have explained. Sorry, didn't mean to confuse anyone.
Some observances from last night talk shows:
Pat Buchanan last night on Hardball: "Rather is using 'The Ted Baxter Defense' ............. I didn't know the facts."
CBS - "just a genuine screw up", "checks and balances fell off," "no political bias, just haste," "the culture of the newsroom," Moonves - "just a mistake," "Rather was just involved in compounding the error," "just a clouded judgment." Yep, like Hillary and her 'Cattle Futures'! No insider trading with her, she just wisely scrutinized the Wall Street Journal. Yep. Like Al Gore was sometimes inattentive and missed parts of fund-raising meetings. He drank a lot of iced tea during meetings, which could have necessitated a restroom break. Yep.
********
Now some truth/speculation: 1. CBS aligned itself with party politics and the Kerry campaign. 2. Liz Trotta last night (1/10/05): "Mapes is a psychopathic liar." They were all willing to go with the story because they all agreed politically.
And think of this, just speculation from here on out. Is it a possibility that they all knew the documents were fake and would be seen as that eventually, but the damage done to Bush before and after that finding would be enough, in their minds, to shift enough votes to cause Bush to lose the election and push Kerry to victory? After all, the drunk driving news did the wonders in 2000.
And give this a thought. There are many in the industry ( Mort Zuckerman, Marvin Kalb, Bob Zelnick, etc, etc.) who still want to try to stand by Rather by suggesting that he did not know of the fraud of the memos, that Rather was perhaps too busy with a hurricane and the Republican Convention (yeh, right). Let's say for a moment that their suggestions are true (yeh, right). All these same people then speculate as to why Dan Rather continued to hang out for twelve days denying what the rest of the world knew to be true, especially those in the world in their pajamas. Who could Dan be covering for, or why would he continue for those twelve days in the manner that he did? Why, in the face of everyone in the world and even those in his circle telling him to face the facts, why did he stonewall and bring the world down on himself?
**********
One report describes Robin Rather as an environmentalist and "a likely candidate for Austin Mayor in 2006." Another report states that she lives in the same congressional district as the former Texas lieutenant governor and heavyweight Democratic contributor Ben Barnes. He is the man behind many of the charges about President Bush's service record (CBS 60 Minutes expose). Potential mayoral candidates and campaign contributors tend to meet. Robin Rather and Barnes worked together on Democratic party fundraisers.
Dan Rather refuses to disclose the provenance of the forgeries, and CBS claims that they came from Lt. Col. Jerry Killian's "personal" files, which his widow and son deny. So where did they come from? And why is Dan Rather stonewalling--despite the risk both to himself and to CBS News?
"When you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth."
Did the documents come from Barnes? If so, how did they make their way to Dan Rather?
Well if we're going to speculate how about this...
Danny or one of his cohorts whips up a few documents then runs out to find complying "scources" thinking that the usual blood in the water, pile-on, mentality of the MSM will wash any serious scrutiny away.
Wait a minute, are we beginning to sound like those wacko DU conspiracy addicts?
Could be both.
LOL!
The first part sounds possible, but I would think Mapes may have been involved with whipping them up. After all, remember Mapes was outed by her father who admitted last year that she hated G.W.
The MSM piling on didn't work this time because of FR and a few others.
This whole episode and the internet effect will be huge in history!
I watched both shows with Chris Matthews last night as well as this morning on Imus. I think his has been possibly the BEST analysis of the CBS-brouHaHa.
He recognizes that this story is the essence of a war going on between the forces of Roger Ailes (Fox) on one side and the MSM (Rather) on the other. Matthews calls this THE big political story of our times...information.
Chris had others on his shows who disagreed and tried to defend Rather. But Chris was unfailingly harsh in his assessments of the original story and he made it clear he thought the panel didn't go far enough.
It is humorous to see the other news outlets all ganging up on CBS. What they don't realize is that they too are smeared with the semen stain on their own blue GAP dresses.
This isn't about just CBS. This is an indictment of the MSM as a whole. CBSNBCABCCNNMSNBC... For God's sake, they defended Bill Clinton and turned a blind eye to Juanita Broaddrick!
They just don't get it, There is no credibility.
Yes, I saw him both hours. He WAS unusually even minded. I was pleasantly surprised. It was about time.
'Spitball' Chris almost fell out of his chair when Pat Buchanan called Rather's ploy "The Ted Baxter Defense'! But, Matthews is usually a LIBERAL shill, he'll be back to normal soon.
And that cutie Michelle Malkin should throw a pie in his face some time in the near future.
