I put together a "21 reasons why I won't buy your rag" for the Seattle Times a few years back.
Funny, but the phone solicitors never seem to last much past 7 or 8....
It would be interesting to see the circulation numbers of the major newspapers.
Circulation is so bad here a young man came by yesterday trying to sell me the paper for 18 bucks for 13 weeks. They are regularly at Wal-Mart trying to give away daily copies.

One thing I'm thankful for is the Phili Enquirer is irrelevant to me because I live in the good ol' woods of VA. I can just sit back here and laugh at their nonsense.
I was raised in Philly, and most of my family is still back there. I'm hoping to see the Bulletin succeed.
lol..make sure they didn't say.."We know where you live..I hope your tires aren't slashed"..lol..:)
Ohhhh..... that letter was delicious!! I love your posts.
See my tagline. I hate the Sun with a passion.
Sincerely,

Maybe it's just my sensitive nature, but her response seems to be dripping with arrogance(and not a little sarcasm) ;^)
I often wonder why so many of those that hate America have "fetched up in journalism". There is a bitterness and animosity from the leftists towards this country that's difficult to understand. WHY do they dislike what has made America the envy of the world. I wonder if there's more truth than I suspected to so much of what I see and read about journalism types; that is, they couldn't make it in a highly competitive environment where the cream typically rises to the top and it has endowed them with a very large chip on their shoulders?
Hard cases at any rate.

It's Philly, not Pittsburgh or Millwaukee!
PA.: ALLEGHENY COUNTY GOP HQ IN PITTSBURGH WITHOUT POWER (Posted on 11/02/2004 - ELECTION DAY)
According to several reputable sources, the Allegheny County GOP HQ in Pittsburgh just had lost power. Because the office building at 125 Seventh Street is without power, telephones, computers, and other office machines are unusable, a huge blow to Bush supporters hoping to remain competitive tonight in this key area of the country. While it is still not clear the cause of this electrical problem, politics could potentially be a factor.
The Democrat Headquarters across the street and other surrounding buildings are said to be with power...
Representative Elect's Son Arrested in Tire Slashing
The 25-year-old son of newly elected congresswoman Gwen Moore was arrested Friday by Milwaukee police and later released in connection with the election day slashing of tires on 20 vans and cars rented by the Republican Party, according to police records.[snip]
On Tuesday morning, 27 tires on 20 cars and vans rented by the Republican Party to carry voters to the polls were slashed. The vehicles were parked in the 7100 block of W. Capitol Drive.
Daniel Pipes bttt! Thanks for the info, glad Philly has something of a decent newspaper on the comeback, God bless that founding city!
I wonder how bad the Inquier is being hurt by the launch of the new Philadelphia Evening Bulletin. The Bulletin relaunched precisely to create a centre-right alternative to the Inquier. Sort of like a New York Sun for Philly -- neoconservative, centre-right, and with a large Jewish influence (Daniel Pipes is involved in the project).

"I sent the following letter to the Editor of the Inquirer. I'll follow up if there is any response."
Please ping me if so... Not that her posturing was really open-minded willingness to suddenly become journalists, of course....
I dropped the ultra liberal San Jose Mercury News Cincinnati Enquirer over a year ago. I had subscribed to it for over 30 years. I now get all my news from the Internet.
Wow! Look how easy it was easy to change your story into mine.
Our local newspaper was doing this at our house until I called and told them I was calling the police and having them arrested for trashing my yard if they threw one more.
I did the exact same thing to our local newspaper! ROFLOL!
And if you poisoned his well, you'd have to file an environmental impact statement with the EPA.
