WEINER'S WACKY BID TO KO BUSH VICTORY (even Kerry refuses to support effort)
NY POST ^ | January 6, 2005 | VINCENT MORRIS

Posted on 01/06/2005 1:38:34 AM PST by Liz

WASHINGTON — Three New York Democrats, including mayoral hopeful Anthony Weiner, are among a small number of congressmen who are formally protesting President Bush's election, The Post has learned.

Weiner's signature in support of a highly controversial letter sent yesterday to Vice President Dick Cheney, who serves as president of the Senate, and other congressional leaders comes as a surprise because the other lawmakers are among the most liberal, stridently anti-Bush members of Congress.

Weiner, who has a relatively moderate voting record and is now trying to oust Mayor Bloomberg, raised eyebrows by jumping on board because he is not generally associated with the mostly far-left-leaning congressmen trying to unseat Bush.

They include such figures as Rep. Jim McDermott (D-Wash.), who visited Baghdad before the war and said he trusted Saddam Hussein more than Bush, Rep. Dennis Kucinich (Ohio), who ran a long-shot bid for president last year as the left-most Democratic candidate, and independent Rep. Bernie Sanders (Vt.), who is a socialist.

The letter, which expresses "grave doubts" about whether Bush legally won the election, is considered so extreme that its supporters in the House of Representatives have been unable to find a single Democratic senator to back it.

Even Bush's defeated opponent, Sen. John Kerry (Mass.), has refused to support the effort.

The other two New Yorkers signing on, Reps. Major Owens of Queens and José Serrano of The Bronx, were not unexpected because they are among the most liberal, Bush-bashing members of the state's delegation.

Cuckoo birds of a feather.

Don't these "lawmakers" have anything else to do?

Weiner ought to become Chairman of the DNC. It's a perfect fit. "Chairman Weiner".

Actually I think he's supporting the effort, he's just not going to be there as he's in the middle east right now. A good way to save some face I think.

It's 2000 all over again!! LOL

I also question using the word "lawmakers" for these men and perhaps women, if Boxer chooses to join this circus. They should received only disdain from the people for this kind of behavior. When popular sports events take place, not everyone involved in the sport likes the outcome but good sportsmanship requires that acceptance be the rule of law and that the loser goes on to win another day. Can you imagine what would happen to the world of sports if the assistant coach of the losing team tried to challenge the winner in a losing situation? Of course, disgruntled fans would provoke riots, etc., and that would be the end for sports. This situation, if successful, carries the seeds of such a thing..Before long, elections would be meaningless. However, the men doing this do not care about that..I suspect they prefer a dictatorship anyway.

Good idea.......then Weiner could setup hot dog stands in the Capitol rotunda to raise money for the DNC.

Great headline, and I love this quote too:

".........include(s) such figures as Rep. Jim McDermott (D-Wash.), who....said he trusted Saddam Hussein more than Bush.....and independent Rep. Bernie Sanders (Vt.), who is a socialist"

Yes, Jim McDermott, the psychiatrist, who used electronic evesdropping to monitor and tape a cell phone call between Congressman John Boehner and Newt Gingrich back in 1997. A local couple did the dirty deed and turned the tape over to McDermott who immediately "leaked" the recording to the New York Times. McDermott and special counsel, James Cole, quickly went on the offensive in saying that the call violated nothing. Time magazine quote, Jan. 20, 1997.."And for a member of the ethics committee to engage in such chicanery amid a pending investigation, they said, would be especially unsavory. McDermott, through a spokesman, declined TIME's request for comment." This occurred, of course, when the war on Newt Gingrich was going on because he admitted he had given the House ethics committee some wrong information. So, Mr.(not doctor in my book) McDermott has demonstrated this kind of morality for a long time..

My post sounded as though TIME made this quote..They did not..The quote was made by the House Republican leaders at the time.

"mayoral hopeful Anthony Weiner"

Its not for nothing, Mr Weiner aka Whiner, looks like a weasel.
God in his wisdom decided to make this guy look exactly like the creature whose soul inhabits his body. :)

Nothing new in all this.
Weiner has a long history of Bush-hating. Its totally irrelevant. The days that the RATS controlled the House are long gone. Weiner's screeching is like the impotent yapping of a mad dog.
Is he going to be mayor of New York? Not a chance.
I'd still back Bloomberg to clobber this lil Weiner RAT any day if it should come to that.

Bush's Election in Series Jeopardy:  Republicans running in fear

January 5, 2005, breaking hard

(Washington DC) - The well lubed Democratic Machine is in full thrust. Millions of voters are set to march in Washington DC tomorrow to protest the certification of electors.  The other shoe has finally dropped and Bush's 2nd Inauguration may not happen.  The brilliant non-partisan Representative John Conyers, Jr., Ranking Democrat on the House Judiciary Committee has released the long-awaited Status Report Preserving Democracy:  What Went Wrong in Ohio.  This report weighing in at over 100 pages threatens to shake up Washington DC and rock the world with rock-solid evidence of how Bush stole Presidency for the second time.

Among the most damaging evidence from the report includes:

-While Republicans sat comfortably in their country club and had voting machines brought to them to cast their votes while eating caviar, Democrats had to fight the bitter cold and rain to go to their own polling place and some even had to wait in line to vote.

-Evil Hitler wannabe Uncle Tom partisan Bush supporter Secretary of State Blackwell actually insisted that voters be registered to vote, similar to tactics used by the Nazi's in the 1930's.

-Exit polling data which has never been wrong in the over 4 billion years the earth existed of roughly 1200 Ohioans did not match the actual vote of over 5.7 million voters.  Non-partisan Berkley statisticians calculated the odds of this happening approaching nearly a google-plex to one, which happens to be the odds of Richard Simons being straight.

-The Bush-controlled corporate monster Triad, who provided Ohio's corrupt voting machines, actually provided information to elections officials to assist them in their recount, thus insuring the recount would match their corrupt results.

-While the honest Democrat challengers randomly selected precincts with a perfect mix of all races and politely challenged voters without any partisan motives, the brown-shirt Bush supporters concentrated their vote challenge efforts in Democratic areas, and used their disruptive bigoted tactics to intimidate mostly in minority areas.

-There were thousands and thousands of intimidated voters who were scared by these Gestapo tactics into not selecting either candidate for President.  These spoiled ballots alone could have given the real winner, the honorable war-hero patriotic Senator John F. Kerry, the election.

These numerous unexplained unprecedented highly-illegal irregularities are sufficient cause for both houses of Congress to reject Ohio's electors, thus giving John F. Kerry the majority of electoral votes cast and thus making him the President-elect.  Disregarding theses illegal Ohio electors, and ignoring the apparent vote of 5.7 million people is the only way to restore our Democracy and rebuild the lost confidence that everyone has with our corrupt voting process.  January 6, 2005 is set to be a historic day for America, perhaps even surpassing July 4, 1776.  Yes, help is on its way!

Sorry.... :-( He is pretty heinous.

Because of his hideous looks and a last name that's fodder for jokes he's one frustrated guy. I can see him running that tape in his head from high school..."I'll show them, I'll make their lives miserable!" Weiner loves to get on a soapbox and I think the only reason he's entertaining this silliness is to get his mug on the news. He must have a wacky fringe to keep happy. So what it's a wacky lost cause, think of the exposure!
