Nov. 2: Election Day. Three-term Democratic Attorney General Christine Gregoire finds herself in an unexpectedly tight race with Republican real estate agent Dino Rossi, a former state senator. Gregoire is up by 7,000 votes at the end of the night, with hundreds of thousands of absentee ballots yet to be counted.
Nov. 9: As absentee ballots are tallied, Rossi closes the gap and then pulls ahead by 2,123 votes.
Dec. 30: Secretary of State Sam Reed certifies the election, declaring Gregoire governor-elect.
Jan. 12: Inauguration Day. Legislature scheduled to issue certificates of election to new office holders.
Jan. 22: Deadline for any registered voter to file a lawsuit challenging the results of the election.

So what about those 3500 people who voted without being registered? As I read they had 3500 more votes than registered voters.
It is the algorian phenomenae... actually.. this is how socialists have rigged elections for the last century.
King County Elections just needs a little more time to reconcile (or should I say fabricate/discover?) the needed reconciliation of those of voted and their official total.
After all our Governor Elect has told us that the Republicans asking for the reconciliation of the 3000 plus King County voters is like children not wanting to wait until the cookies are baked and then complaining about the cookies being "gooey." (/sarcasm)
Seriously, this whole thing has made me sick. What makes me the most angry is that King County has fired the previous two heads of elections because it has been so screwed up in the past.
Most Counties have elections run under the supervision of the County Auditor (an elected office, but one which is usually quite concerned about legality and good procedures.)
King County has the Elections part of the County Executives administrative duties, but also the King County Council has reorganized the function so they have a more major role.
While I doubt that Ron Sims, the King County Executive, or Larry Phillips, the King County Council Chair, had a smoke filled room conversation with the key King County elections staff and told them to "fix" the election, I do feel that enough strange things happened that I have no confidence in King County results.
As point of information my youngest son voted in King County, is not listed on the computer files released as having voted. I can assure you he is not a domestic violence victim, an overseas voter, or an absentee voter in the military.
King County has run sloppy elections for many many years and has not gotten around to cleaning up its act. That snappiness may easily allow for election fraud or strange numbers. My feeling is that if after they finished counting votes, had Chris G not had enough votes, King County would have searched for more ballots or recounted until Chris was ahead. Since the found enough ballots for her to "win" the election state-wide the elections office stopped counting.
If fraud is only quiting the counting when your side is ahead, then King County is guilty of fraud. If County government running a sloppy election process that can be rife with fraudulent votes or in failing to clean up bad procedures is vote fraud, then King County is probably guilty.
I have no faith in King Counties numbers, if they had to count the ballots again, they would likely come up with result that would give the election to Dino Rossi. Because of that I expect that the reconciliation effort will smell to the high heavens.
In my opinion our only hope of a fair election is if the federal government or federal courts step in.
