IT'S ABOUT THE TRAGEDY - NOT MORE BUSH-BASHING

THE political and ideological exploitation of perhaps the worst natural disaster in all our lifetimes is almost beyond belief — were it not for the fact that nothing these days is beyond belief.

Even as tears spring into the most hard-hearted person's eyes at both the unimaginable scope of the tragedy and at the wrenching individual stories of loss, opinion leaders just can't help themselves. They are using this cataclysm as little more than cheap debate fodder about the nature and character of the United States, its president and its citizens.

Don't misunderstand.

I'll tell you the nature and character of the United States, it's president and its citizens:

24 CARAT GOLD.

I posted on some thread last night how the left is doing what they do best: the exploitation of people for their own personal benefit/gain. Libs and others are using this awful tragedy and these poor dead/suffering people to bash Bush. IMHO, this is truly an abomination and they are poor excuses for human beings.

Thank you.

Conservative Canadians are often-times lumped in with the liberal, hate-America-first-last-and-always Canuckistans and I always try to point out that many, many Canadians don't agree with their Liberal Leadership.

I've been away and watched tv last night for the first time in a few days. What I heard on the cable stations I found appalling, i.e. that this is all somehow the President's fault.
Apparently the expression "act of God" has no meaning with these people. Just despicable.

The current "traitor, treason, America hating" Democrat Party needs to be totally destroyed at the ballot box. End of story. These people and their allies overseas and at the United Nations will destroy America. The American people better wake up!!!

On the same line of thought, from the Inside Poilitics section from the Washington Times:

"Not everyone distinguished himself" in the aftermath of the tsunamis in Asia, Peggy Noonan writes at OpinionJournal.com.

"What to say of those who've latched on to the tragedy to promote their political agendas, from the U.N. official who raced to call the U.S. 'stingy,' to the global-warming crowd, to administration critics who jumped at the chance to call the president insensitive because he was vacationing in Texas and didn't voice his sympathy quickly enough? Such people are slyly asserting their own, higher sensitivity and getting credit for it, which is odd because what they're actually doing is using dead people to make cheap points," Mrs. Noonan said.

I saw a post on another site from a lib using the new talking points about how we (the USA) would have more to send to help the Tsunami victims if we were not in Iraq wasting millions.

The left in this country(and aboard) are the most vile putrid hate mongers who really are subhuman.
To make this tragedy into an attack YET AGAIN on our mission in Iraq and on the President is so beyond disgusting.
These losers are the most divisive gross people on the face of the earth.

That is the kindest thing I can think of saying about the left in this situation.

The Bush strategery here was to work behind the scenes (with Britain, Australian, and India) to actually begin the clean up rather than score political and PR points.

The great side-effect of the (apparent) delay is that we got to see our enemies crawl out from under their rocks, raise their ugly heads, and voice their mean-spirited complaints. Get out the Raid!

Well, you have to remember that these people don't believe in God. Therefore, government is the highest authority in their cosmology of the universe. And since Bush is the most powerful chief executive of the most powerful government in the world, I guess it makes sense that they would see the tragic events in Asia as being Bush's fault.

On FreeRepublic, we tend to make jokes that everything is seen as "Bush's fault". What really amazes me is that for tens of millions of Americans (and people around the world) --it's really true! Homeless people? Blame Bush. Commodity prices too high? Blame Bush. Commodity prices too low? Blame Bush. Earthquake? Blame Bush.

I always say that, at its heart, the Left is about Hatred of Christianity. But I think this is compounded by real mental illness of a certain degree. They just don't think right.

Never underestimate the willingness of the Bush-bashers to lower themselves just a few more pegs.

"AoD", I like that. But is it awe or perhaps such a strong jealousy/envy thing they've got going which gets expressed as total hate and rage that makes them do what they do? I don't know, but it's obvious they aren't in control of their emotions - their emotions control them (and probably always will).

Or better yet, excoriate the Leftie crowd for NOT pledging money to the appropriate relief agencies. Where are the Hollywood Left and the elitist liberals with their massive bank accounts? How come the entertainment industry have been deathly silent (pun intended!) on doing a fundraiser?

Ooooops, my bad... Sometimes when they squeal like stuck pigs it's funny; but sometimes, like this instance, they are merely an assault on my senses and everything I value. And it's hard to stay patient...
