Jon Stewart Beats Out Clinton

When it comes to selling books, who's the man? Comedian Jon Stewart, that's who.

His book "America," a parody of U.S. civics, in the vein of his "news" broadcasts performed on Comedy Central's "The Daily Show," passed former President Bill Clinton's "My Life" on Barnes & Noble's best-selling book list for 2004.

Clinton's book had been No. 1, but sales of Stewart's tome during the Christmas season surpassed the former chief executive's biography, which had been on bookshelves three months longer. Nevertheless, according to the New York Daily News, Clinton's "My Life" most likely will take B & N's top honor for all non-fiction titles in 2004, once final sales tallies are calculated.

The paper said Nielson Bookscan, which covers about 70 percent of the book market, reports that Clinton's book has sold about 1.2 million copies, compared with Stewart's 997,000.

"My Life" was No. 1 for all of last year on the Amazon.com list. "America" landed at a not-too-shabby No. 7.

I can understand why all of the leftists ran out and bought BJ's book, what I want to know is whether or not any of them actually finished it.

Even though Jon Stewart is a nutcase, good for him for beating Bubba!

After all the media exposure that Clinton had on his book, he still lost. That made my day!

He's what passes for clever as dimocrats go...of course they revere him. What options do they have...the dimwit Michael Moore?

I received John Stewart's "America" as a gift this Christmas and my review is still out. There's plenty of decent humor but it's all over the place. And that's the only way I can read it. I've been bouncing around looking for the "good stuff". Sometimes I find it, sometimes not.

Two peas in a pod, though the socialists lap it up like kittens on cream.

While Stewart can make me laugh on occassion, Clinton always, always makes me cry for my beloved country.

Clinton's minions will follow him through h#ll and high water until the end time. Stewart's minions will follow him for another year or so, tops. He'll tire of them, then cash it in.

Clinton is like a cockroach. We've already cut off his head, yet sadly, he's still kickin'.

The Clintonista minions know that they better do whatever BJ tells them to do. The alternative is federal prison or a Vince Foster-style Arkancide.

He was never a great stand up comic. His biggest claim to fame is the "daily show" but I think the early Craig Kilborn episodes were funnier (before Liz Winstead left)

Ok, kids. I agree, the rest of the nation does not give a hoot (anything West of NYC's 7th Ave doesn't count) about Washington State Rats stealing the Governor's election. Even our big hero Drudge is yawning (speaking of jumping the shark).
So we are on our own. Orange ribbons in down town Seattle. Plaster the place. Over passes, doors. Where ever!

Get in Lib's faces. Make them sweat. Stop apologizing, damn it. Sit down and be civil disobedient. Get on the news. We must do this truely like the Ukie's did.

That is the only way I can think of getting national attention and some legal action against the F.L's (Hint: one of the letters stands for Liberal)

We will not go away!

It's a left-handed compliment, but Jon Stewart's book is less dishonest, and he is a far less corrupt person, than Bill Clinton's book and Bill hisself. Furthermore, most of the laugh lines in "America (the Book)" are at least intentional.
