I'm impressed. A parent who actually follows through on his threats. I'm betting the boys' behavior improves significantly after this.

I'm betting the whole thing is a gimmick. Look at the publicity he's gotten from his statement. Smart merchandising. Smart advertising.

sarcasm> The ill-disciplined kids will soon have a Texas CPS agent come to their rescue; to remove them from such an abusive dominant male gorilla.
NOW will dispatch counselors and an attorney to the mother because the dominant male gorilla is mentally abusing her.
The ACLU will join in because the dominant male gorilla is abusing someones guaranteed civil rights. </sarcasm
My apologies to gorillas everywhere.

Dad let things get worse and worse until he decided to do something drastic. I bet dad has made many threats of punishment that were never followed with action. This ends up being Mutually Assured Destruction. I know someone like this. He lets the kids run amok and then lowers the big boom on them. It's almost a form of bullying. My guess is that the kids will find a way to get even.

A parent who actually follows through on his threats. One of the reasons I'm divorced today. Mom couldn't stand to see our young one suffer a consequence. She deciced it better I did than him.
