They have to invent "millions" of protestors to counteract the actual 2 1/2 million vote margin that Bush got over Kerry.
I don't understand the petition - I thought they were going to "just v-i-s-u-a-l-i-z-e" Kerry into office over at DU. They may want to go to plan B, "click your heels and just wish it to come true."
But it feels like a million are there in spirit! It's how it feels that matters, not some straitjacket like actual counting.
It comes from the same part of the ego that causes the mouth to utter the phrase "12-inches" in a bar five minutes before closing on a Saturday night.
Democrates and liberals use the term "million(s)" because they cannot comprehend the actual total of 1s added up to one million. It is an age old problem with the uneducated:)
I think "million" is simply their translation for "hrair".
