The pre-amble specifically states the purpose for the whole union. Of course you are technically correct - it does not use the word "happiness" - just "... establish justice, provide for the common defense promote the general welfare, and ensure domestic tranquility ...". From memory I think it is close a bit slippery this morning.

The right to Pursue happiness is in the Declaration of Independence.

Bah, humbug and pfuooey. No breaks.

The author is ignorantly confusing the Declaration of Independence with the Constitution. My irate acquaintances were ignorantly attributing the Articles of Confederation to the Confederate States of America. Europeans who want men to sit and squirt are ignorantly assuming it all will fit inside the seat and not peel the paint off the far wall. And, our stupid state highway department has parked vehicles blocking the road to my favorite hunting grounds. (I don't know why.) So I had to come home to cure my ignorance of other routes to good hunting.

It looks like I'll just have to call in sick to work tomorrow.
