A socialist named Joel Geier is coming to Madison on Wednesday. He is the editor of the International Socialist Review.
Coals to Newcastle.
A socialist in Madison. Isn't that like a Chinese man in Peking?
I have seen some of the things he has written and it is all anti-American and anti-freedom.
Almost all Salmon come back to the stream which spawned them...
Do you have any more information on this Joel Geier guy?
Madison is a rabid socialist smorgasboard....no one will even notice....just one more rabid socialist rat in a giant socialist rat haven
imo
There are over many college Republicans on our campus, a stunning feat given the socialist nature of our campus.
He should feel right at home.
What vermin!!
Saturday, December 7, 4 pm, on the UW Campus (TITU*)
THE POWER OF PROTEST:
HOW THE VIETNAM WAR WAS STOPPED
Activist and author Joel Geier will speak on the lessons of the
Vietnam antiwar movement and how we can apply them to the
growing movement against a war in Iraq.
The Vietnam antiwar movement was slow to start and very small
at first. Yet, as the war continued and more and more sons and
daughters returned in body bags, people began they were
"paying" for the war with their lives while the rich hoped to reap
the benefits. People rebelled and joined the movement in
droves. This activity, along with rebellion by many of the soldiers
themselves, turned what started as small protests into a huge
mass movementand it was this movement that finally ended
the war.
Now, the government is beating the war drums again, hoping
we've forgotten what happened beforethe lies, the carnage
and the outrage that ended it. Yet, we do remember and this
antiwar movement is starting stronger and growing. What can
we learn from the past antiwar movement? How can we build
momentum quickly and stop the impending war in Iraq?
Joel, a founding member of SDS and veteran of the Vietnam
antiwar and Berkely Free Speech movement, will discuss what
worked in the past, how we can avoid past mistakes and apply
what we've learned to build the biggest antiwar movement ever!
More about Joel Geier: Geier is currently the Associate Editor of
the International Socialist Review. For more, see his article,

Will anyone even notice him with all of the old and new socialists in Madison?
Most everyone in Madison is a commie but on some issues you might be surprised. There are a bunch of queers who really don't get too worked up about abortion. Many of the welfare queens are are less than thrilled with the speed in which the bureaucratic postal system loses their welfare check. All in all the place sucks so much I moved to a suburb in 2000. Unfortunately many of the Madison liberals can no longer afford to support the insanity and they are moving in next door and voting as stupidly as always.
You are right. This place is filled with socialists, communists, and terror appeasers. One of the terror supporters spray painted "Viva Falluja Resistance" on a wall near my residence.
alas, here we are 6 yrs later with a socialist as Pres., who would have been Editor of the International Socialist Review except that he had so much “community organizing” on his mind
