I suspect there are some behind the scenes bitterness between the two.
He allowed himself to be fooled by Saddam Hussein at the end of the first gulf war, by allowing SH to keep flying. The excuse being that the highways were damaged.
Schwartzkopf fell for it......and SH used that ability to wreak havoc on his enemies.
I think Schwarzkopf has a bit of animosity with the Bush family in general, probably stemming from Bush Sr. restraining him from getting the job done right in 1991.
Recall, Schwarzkopf wanted to take Baghdad and depose the Hussein Regime in the first Gulf War, because he rightly postulated that it would continue to fester and cause trouble in the region. Because Bush Sr. cared too much about what "the rest of the world" thought (sound familiar) and his chronies at the Department of State said, he called it off. Today, you see the price of that, I'm afraid.
Armored vehicles are being sent over at around 400 a month, supposedly. This is a repeat of Al-Qaqaa, making a story out of a non-story. I doubt the MSM bothered to bring up the other side to Schwarzkopf, either.
