Radical Islamic cells in Europe are financing terror networks by withdrawing hundreds of thousands of dollars a month from cash machines with fake credit cards, according to France's top anti-terrorism judge, Jean-Louis Bruguiere. The judge said two years ago investigators uncovered one such financing cell in France. Ten suspected Islamic militants were withdrawing more than $100,000 a month from cash-machines in other European countries. "The (Islamic) European networks finance themselves primarily through microfinancing systems - criminal activity that is very profitable," he said Wednesday. (AP/Seattle Post-Intelligencer)

Here's my pessimistic response. I'm a victim of fraud and a lot of money was stolen from my bank account. There wasn't much interest or help in my loss. I was a burden and owed the money. I'm certain it's easy enough for terrorists as it is for the low life who stole from me as well. I wouldn't be surprised if terrorists have been doing this for years.

In my situation, the investigation was a joke. This type of crime is so out of control. I have not been lucky enough to see any hope for anyone taking control with this crime. Too bad it will take terrorists to profit before anyone starts to have a concern. Anyone willing, can do this crime now.
