The fact that Dana feels compelled to defend his vote less than one week after he cast it suggests that he is already seeing the political downside of his little protest vote.
Regardless of how much the protesters spin and excuse, they will always be viewed as anti-Hispanic. No matter how many good things Dana does, he will always be remember for this vote.
Regardless of what other causes he champions he will always be defined as anti-Hispanic. Wherever he goes he will always listen for those whispers behind his back about him.
No top flight campaign manager would ever sign on with him if he chose to run for a higher office. (Which may be his only option after the next redristricting places him in a majority Hispanic district)
"The fact that Dana feels compelled to defend his vote less than one week after he cast it suggests that he is already seeing the political downside of his little protest vote."
Some downside...except for the Senate and White House. The house bill that "Dana" wanted and had the provisions in it passed by 68%. You really have a low opinion of the American People.
